I chose PathAI because it was highly rated among Boston based businesses, the culture messaging seemed positive, and the mission was motivating. The company seemed like it was in a stable growth stage, and they were excited about doing innovative, collaborative work to solve real problems.
Cons
This place is a mess. Since the departure of one of the co-founders, it's been reeling with a crisis of culture. Several departments are extremely cut throat. It's a very white and very male culture, with little introspection about these issues and challenges. The criteria for success and advancement are unclear, and collaboration feels more like a battlefield. And watch your back, interpersonal trust is low. They also significantly cut benefits in the last year, immediately after being awarded a "great place to work" designation. Are you looking for mentorship and training?
