Great earning potential but you will sell your soul and then some. They rule by fear. There is no loyalty. - Outside Sales Representative Paycom Employee Review

Pros

Earning Potential Comp plan Great product Jeff is a great leader

Cons

No Work life balance start at 7 end by 6 or later. Too many rah rah meetings and internal pat on backs of manager meetings Coming from another tech our CRM is trash and our CPQ system is terrible but any feedback or commentary you provide isn’t your focus or job description so don’t provide it or you’ll get reprimanded. Sales training focuses on the product and how to sell the product or demo better but nothing around negotiations, sales tactics, sales overviews. Or our own Sales process. You get that in a 2 month crash course at the beginning. That is very rushed and thank god I don’t ever have to do that again. Hope we Switch to a quarter sales cycle vs monthly. We are closing big deals that get you to yearly but you still have to close monthly numbers. Top sales reps are literally quiting and taking days off because of mental health and toxicity. No loyalty to employees. Employees are worried just when they get a vp 1x1 or a manager 1x1 Friday’s regardless where you rank there’s a fear that it’s your last day. When it comes to anything it’s alway, “that’s why we pay you what we do” There’s no company culture. No one takes interest in knowing you or you knowing them for fear that you’ll be gone or they’d be gone. It’s very toxic and people are constantly fired, let go or quit. Yet reviews with Paylocity/Kronos for example don’t have that. There are great sales reps here with great potential but sales leadership leads by fear and it’s a recipe for disaster Glad we’re working from home now as our old school sales way have slowly scaled back. Technology is finally at the forefront conversation of leaders as they are finding better ways to track us through our terrible CRM system where you have to attach nonesense documents that no one ever really reviews. Too much administrative work in sales process

Pros

- Base salary - PTO - Awesome colleagues - $1 Medical PPO offering

Cons

- Upper leadership seem to not value the operations department as much as they do with sales. They are not consistent as well, which causes them to change the entire department's job description, expectations, & commission structure every few months. Change is good but huge change every 3-4 months is so exhausting. - They overload you with too many clients to handle while increasing the number of internal calls. When asking for support from sales or middle management, its typically a hard negotiation or non-existent. Expect to work way over 40 hours/week and juggle 10-20+ clients at a time. - Sales will oversell on product & implementation expectation which makes the job 1000% harder. Turnover with sales is extremely high so don't expect for even the best reps stay as they either leave, get fired because quota was not met, or the new manager will cut them if they're "not the vibe". You get left with the newbies who does not know how to sell or support you when you need them. - Every role in this company has high turnover in general. Making it very hard to cross collaborate with other departments as everyone is either extremely swamped or new to the role and cannot support as well, - Being forced to go to Oklahoma for training every year, sometimes twice a year.
