Pros
I did make some very solid friends during my year at Paycom, there are good people who get swindled into working for this company.
Cons
4 years after my time at Paycom & many horror stories from previous colleagues & people from the Paycom world, I think it is important to run through my experience to hopefully sway young, hungry sellers to other sales orgs. This company was very proud of being cult-like & will chew you up & spit you out when they are done with you. They were obsessed with physical looks, requiring females to have their hair & makeup done every day & to wear high heels (the former "Chief Sales Officer" would brag in training about the team being mistaken for models when checking into hotels. The "Chief Sales Officer" would say that his training was a mini Master's Degree & while the topics covered were very informative on how businesses operate, it was not a Master's Degree...it was 2-3 days of training a few times a year. There was incredible pressure that trickled down from Regional VPs including analogies along the lines of "Pretend we are on a date, is your confidence really going to impress me?" when running through mock cold calls. They are a dinasaur of an organization that does not operate with a modern sales culture - they build every tool in-house instead of investing in a strong tech stack. Sales is a very challenging career but please find an org with a soul...there are plenty out there.
