Pros

I really enjoy my team and the people I work with. The hybrid schedule we have been on has been wonderful, however it’s ending in January

Cons

There hasn’t been a lot going well lately. We were given the news just a couple weeks before Christmas that we would be returning to office full time after being reassured many time that we would be sticking with the option of a one day in office hybrid schedule. We are expected to make huge changes in our lives with just a months notice. Many of us are struggling with this major change, and it’s clear upper management does not care at all. People with families, disabilities, and those that have moved further from the office are not being accommodated in the slightest. We were all blindsided by this and the answers we are all getting for why this is happening are emotionless, shallow, nothing answers meant to get us off their backs. There’s an attitude of get out or get used to it. “A company has values and people have values and sometimes those values don’t align” keeps being said as a cop out for any accountability from the company. These are people’s lives that they are screwing with, and it’s heartless the way they are acting. Employees that are already in office 5 days a week or would have been absolutely okay with returning to office had it been handled with more care, are also looking for a new place to work. People are being let go that are too vocal. This whole ordeal has caused such a loss of trust for all of us. Paycom loves to say ‘we care’, but how they continue to not listen to any of us, it’s clear they don’t actually. I’m not surprised they waited until after making the Oklahoma’s top workplaces list to announce this to all of us. It sucks here.

Pros

- Base salary - PTO - Awesome colleagues - $1 Medical PPO offering

Cons

- Upper leadership seem to not value the operations department as much as they do with sales. They are not consistent as well, which causes them to change the entire department's job description, expectations, & commission structure every few months. Change is good but huge change every 3-4 months is so exhausting. - They overload you with too many clients to handle while increasing the number of internal calls. When asking for support from sales or middle management, its typically a hard negotiation or non-existent. Expect to work way over 40 hours/week and juggle 10-20+ clients at a time. - Sales will oversell on product & implementation expectation which makes the job 1000% harder. Turnover with sales is extremely high so don't expect for even the best reps stay as they either leave, get fired because quota was not met, or the new manager will cut them if they're "not the vibe". You get left with the newbies who does not know how to sell or support you when you need them. - Every role in this company has high turnover in general. Making it very hard to cross collaborate with other departments as everyone is either extremely swamped or new to the role and cannot support as well, - Being forced to go to Oklahoma for training every year, sometimes twice a year.
