Pros
The pros and cons are very dependant on who your supervisor is. Luckily I had a wonderful supervisor who genuinely cared about her staff and was very flexible and understanding with hours and time off. PTO is pretty good and the tuition assistance they provide is wonderful.
Cons
Yearly raises are tiny and do not often make up for each year's rising insurance premiums which after getting a tiny raise and then being socked with a yearly insurance premium increase, you can easily be left with a smaller paycheck than the year prior. this has happened to me for the last 2 years. Also. it used to feel like a family and management maintained a very nice balance between making sure the revenue was coming in as well as making sure staff felt appreciated. New HR policies and various new directors have changed the atmosphere and many employees are starting to feel like just a number.
