Pros

Overall there is a great sharing of information and knowledge in the interest of the patient at HMC. It is a very nice hospital to work at- new, clean and safe. Parking is free and easy.

Cons

There is not much room for advancement. People do not leave this place because it is an easy place to work. Small town, big hospital, cheap place to live. However, it leaves little room for advancement for up and comers. Pay is mediocre and it is one of the few hospitals that differentiates pay between MLTs and MTs. Hershey is trying very hard to compete with CHOP and Hopkins, but stretching their workers thin.

Pros

Decent company to work for depending on your department. Benefits and pay are average, enjoy(d) what I do each day and my peers were supportive.

Cons

We recently began losing a lot of great technicians over the last year. HR doesn’t hold management accountable for policies involving harassment and retaliation. Our department was always top notch but began failing significantly beginning in 2025. Now everyone is leaving or being fired for unwarranted reasons. Growing concerns over outsourcing due to lack of accountability in management.
