Pros

Pay is not competitive, but overtime and incentives / bonuses plentiful Teamwork exists on units Managers in certain areas appreciate staff and are present, helpful, available and VISIBLE

Cons

Inconsistent Management Support--of the 3 units, each feels like you're working in an entirely different organization Low Base Pay No follow through with issues--some managers try, some don't. Directors and the suits sure don't care about staff EMR is a nightmare, promotes errors --missed orders/documentation misses Your voice is only heard if you're well liked Leadership and staff are very clicky--the ones who don't fit in, will be pushed out

Pros

Mission-focused Some patients and employees are nice Good benefits

Cons

Crowded and Busy. In the cancer institute the lines for check-in went out the door and it seems like everyone forgets their manners in that place. Very little pay for dealing with so many angry patients
