Pros

The managers are really nice and willing to work with you. This goes from our locker room attendants to exercise specialists. Everyone is treated fairly as long as the job gets done. Greater education is highly encouraged and they are even willing to work with your class schedule. Members are awesome and really appreciate the help you give them.

Cons

The pay could be much better. Working in the environment we do and having the educational requirements we do, it's not fair that our hourly rate is so low. Often I will be the only one at my site doing the work of 3 people but making less than someone from a commercial gym.

Work life balance with generous PTO and client holidays. Autonomy provided in position.

Cons

Poor merit increases, no increases to match inflation, lack of improvements or advancements, management lacks vision to progress in meeting client needs
