Pros

Colleagues are mostly professional with the exception of some TOXIC individuals that are orbiting the belligerent CEO.

Cons

- First and foremost, CEO must go! 💯 unfit for the job. If an HR Director was in place he would most definitely be removed as he’s a walking, talking lawsuit waiting to happen. Take a hard look at glassdoor reviews and don’t make the same mistake I did DO NOT WORK HERE. To emphasize that point further, even out of the co-opted positive reviews that management begged employees to write to combat the overwhelming negativity on here, only 3 out of ~17 have a CEO approval…. The real approval rate is actually around 17%! This speaks volumes about this CEOs inability to lead as even his small group of sycophants can’t bring themselves to condone him publicly. Numbers don’t lie. I rest my case. Secondly, you are forced to be on zoom all day and management will use their position to interrogate you in front of peers. This is textbook hostile work environment! The irony is that leadership will jokingly talk about their notorious 3 month employee retention and just remark that the reason ppl have left/ let go is due to them being “TOXIC” - the only toxicity is from the unhinged CEO ( highly recommend that he takes his meds as behavior is probably unlawful). If you don’t like being constantly degraded by the crazed CEO, do not work here. No less than 5 employees have mentioned him being a problem for the company, but somehow still manage to power through the abuse. Management will blame you for unapologetically demanding respect - run 🏃‍♀️ for your life!! Zoom all day, don’t do it. I rest my case. No 401K ( the least of your worries at this “company”) runs more like a family business with nepotism written all over it. No vacay until 6 MONTHS in!! Basically prison and you won’t make it past 3 months statistically speaking, hence why you have to last 6 months to get a day off. They know 90% of the employees won’t last because in case you didn’t get the memo - this place sucks! Must be on surveillance 24/7/365 on the job. There is a monitoring software you must use for first 90 days! Only one that needs monitoring is the CEO!! Thanks for reading! Happy jobhunting!

Pros

I have been working at Powerfront for around 7 months now. I can honestly say that when I researched the company on Glassdoor during the interview process I was a bit nervous due to a couple of the older reviews. I am happy to say that they were not at all accurate and I am very satisfied with my current situation. I have found that my manager is very supportive and gives me direction whenever I need it. Management is also very flexible when it comes to sick leave and paid time off. I never have to fight to get the time/days I need. My manager also encourages work/life balance a lot and often tells me to not work over the weekend when I am not finished with my projects by Friday. Another really cool part of working here is the product. The software is so unique and fun. Every team member that I have worked with truly believes in the product and wants to help grow the company. The avatars are so cute and I was happy to find out when I started that you get to pick your own avatar to put into your email signature. There is a lot of opportunity for job growth and the company prides itself on you doing what you enjoy. Some employees even had roles created just for them when they expressed interest in working in other departments within the company. I can definitely see myself staying with this company for a long time. You don't have to be on camera all the time as some reviews stated. There are days with a lot of meetings, but when you are not in a meeting you are free to work off camera and concentrate.

Cons

Due to the nature of being a tech company, the work load can be hefty and unpredictable at times, but every team member I have worked with is so helpful and ready to assist that I never feel lost. I also think that all of the projects I have worked on so far have really helped me develop as a professional so none of them felt like wasted time or effort. Some meetings are outside of working hours due to the company having a global workforce but they don't occur regularly. The benefits are normal for an American company: health insurance, remote work, Paid holidays, sick leave, and 401k. The only thing that I would like to see is 401k matching, but I have been told that this is something coming in the near future.
