Pros

It’s a great place if you want to fly under the radar, do the bare minimum, and watch a company slowly cannibalize its own technical talent.

Cons

If you’ve seen the movie Office Space, working here will give you intense déjà vu. This is a corporate environment built for the politically skilled, the short-timers, and the backstabbers who have zero professional pride. The Management: Much like Lumbergh, the leadership here is fundamentally incompetent. When things go wrong, managers immediately shift the blame downward onto the talented, hard-working engineers and employees who actually keep the lights on. They hide their own technical ignorance by burying productive people in paperwork and artificial metrics. The Growth: Growth potential for actual talent is nonexistent. The highest-level positions are occupied by political players who secretly hate the company but know how to play the game. If you pride yourself on your craft, you will be passed over for someone who is just good at corporate theater. In fact, working hard for the betterment of the company is a liability; if your management views your competence as a competitive threat, it just puts you first on the layoff list. The Consultants: To top it off, just like the movie, outside consulting firms are brought in to engineer layoffs, gutting the teams that do the real work while protecting the dead weight at the top.

Pros

- Back to office minimum is 2 days a week which in NY is very good - Solid and stable company, lean and profitable in Booking Holdings - Opportunity to work on many topics - Good culture amongst peers and colleagues. I've found people very helpful and collaborative. - daily catered lunch in office

Cons

- Being lean means prioritizing ruthlessly, so sometimes initiatives will have to go the backlog - I did find that a lot of people take on more than their JD (there's amazing accountability), which also means that people can be very busy.

Thanks for the thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying the flexibility of our hybrid model, the collaborative culture, and the opportunity to work across a broad range of projects. You’re right that we operate with a lean approach - it’s something we monitor closely to make sure teams have what they need to succeed. We ask teams to stay focused on the work that will have the biggest impact, and that sometimes means making tough prioritization decisions. If day-to-day priorities ever feel unclear, we encourage employees to partner with their Manager to help align on focus areas and impact. Thanks again for the feedback and for being part of the Priceline team!

Pros

Some teams support their employees and work on interesting projects.

Cons

Do not work for this company. My boss was so incompetent and unable to use techonology, she falsified PIP paperwork using a chronic health disability while lying that I did not complete my work -- in an attempt to fire me so people would not be able to see how poorly she understands the field of technology. Unforunta3ely for her, AI has adigital footprint when she realized she was caught and there was proof she was lying she fired me to cover it up. Long story short is I won the battle and would adivise anyone and everyone interested in technology or working for a company that has checks and balances on incompetent managers DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY.
