Pros

It’s a decent company to work for, the compensation while not great isn’t bad. The problems are interesting to work on.

Cons

- A lot of people have quit, putting tremendous pressure on people who are still here. I can see people getting burnt out and tired. I m sure that’s gonna cause more people to leave. - The engineers are bad - there is so much technical debt, which like any other debt accrues interest over time. It’s not that the code is bad, it’s that no one cares, people are focused purely on short term wins. - everything is broken all the time, because everyone is in a mad rush to achieve their own team goals. In an ecosystem of interdependent teams this has been horrible.

We appreciate you taking the time to submit this review, though it was disappointing to read. At Priceline, we hire technical experts to create, evolve, and maintain contemporary code that makes our platform appealing and easy to use for our customers. It is difficult to “keep the wheels on the bus as we’re building the airplane,” and sometimes we get caught in the today at the expense of tomorrow. We’d encourage you to raise these specific concerns with your leader and together create a plan that allows us to maintain the right balance between legacy and our aspirational future state.

Pros

- Back to office minimum is 2 days a week which in NY is very good - Solid and stable company, lean and profitable in Booking Holdings - Opportunity to work on many topics - Good culture amongst peers and colleagues. I've found people very helpful and collaborative. - daily catered lunch in office

Cons

- Being lean means prioritizing ruthlessly, so sometimes initiatives will have to go the backlog - I did find that a lot of people take on more than their JD (there's amazing accountability), which also means that people can be very busy.

Thanks for the thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying the flexibility of our hybrid model, the collaborative culture, and the opportunity to work across a broad range of projects. You’re right that we operate with a lean approach - it’s something we monitor closely to make sure teams have what they need to succeed. We ask teams to stay focused on the work that will have the biggest impact, and that sometimes means making tough prioritization decisions. If day-to-day priorities ever feel unclear, we encourage employees to partner with their Manager to help align on focus areas and impact. Thanks again for the feedback and for being part of the Priceline team!

Pros

Some teams support their employees and work on interesting projects.

Cons

Do not work for this company. My boss was so incompetent and unable to use techonology, she falsified PIP paperwork using a chronic health disability while lying that I did not complete my work -- in an attempt to fire me so people would not be able to see how poorly she understands the field of technology. Unforunta3ely for her, AI has adigital footprint when she realized she was caught and there was proof she was lying she fired me to cover it up. Long story short is I won the battle and would adivise anyone and everyone interested in technology or working for a company that has checks and balances on incompetent managers DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY.
