Pros

The company is huge. Having acquired and merged with nearly a dozen companies in the past 3 years, ProAmpac has grown into one of the world's largest manufacturer of flexible packaging.

Cons

Because of its growth, ProAmpac does not deal with small to moderate sized businesses. Only large, multi-million dollar contracts are taken, leaving no creative work to be done in house. Innovation has left the business.

Pros

Full disclosure: I'm a new employee due to an acquisition. Therefore I do like the people I work with as we have a long standing relationship already. My salary and benefits have not changed but also don't reflect ProAmpac so I don't feel that I can attribute either to them.

Cons

Acquisitions and the transitions that follow are difficult in the best of circumstances, however this has been incredibly painful and frustrating. Multitudes of meetings have been held to have no real progress, meaning time is constantly wasted - while workloads are incredibly large. ProAmpac employees have made it clear they generally work late or over weekends pretty regularly to get their tasks done. They take a lot of pride in being a large and growing company, however they are configured far behind the business industry standard regarding work processes. If you join, expect a lot of manual work and a lot of work in general.
