They are woefully understaffed at all their offices so you can always pick up extra shifts.
Cons
When I started in 2014, there focus was on customer service. However, since then, the company directors have been more focused on high productivity numbers and expanding the reach of the company. Most all PTs are scheduled upwards of 28 patients per 7 hour shift, and the front desk staff are told to keep adding walk-ins. As a result, a PT could "see" 35-40 patients in 7 hours. I put see in quotes because each patient spends so little time with a PT. As a patient, you will be under the supervision of a PT Aide (which is an untrained and unskilled PT position) for almost all of your treatment session. I worked as an aide at Professional for 2 years. While my job duties only included cleaning, laundry, scheduling, etc., I was asked to treat patients ALL THE TIME. Because of their obsession with patient numbers, I have asked patients to end their treatment early so I could have a treatment table for a new patient standing in the waiting area. Professional does not offer competitive salaries. In my 2 years there, I worked my butt off, did extra coverage, helped out at other offices, turned a blind eye to fraud, but have only gotten a 25 cent raise. They did, however, give me a $150 year end bonus...but then they charged me $150 to attend the company-wide holiday party (which was free to everyone except aides). They treat their lowest level employees like dirt but ask so much of them. If you complain, they will tell you that there have been low-level employees who stayed loyal, sucked it up and eventually ended up with great positions in the company. This is not a valid defence.
