Pros
I had the opportunity to work with extremely talented and intelligent individuals (and I'm not talking about mgmt.) The company events and fundraisers were always a good time. I also had the opportunity to work in a few locations and again, the staff was great. The CEO and his partners were kind and extremely down to earth. I'm happy I was able to meet them.
Cons
Where do I begin?! I worked for the company for about 2 years and it honestly felt like 5, lets just say I put in a lot of over time hours here. I began as a receptionist( and I use this title loosely because I've performed duties of every single position on the office admin side) and ended up being promoted to an AA. During my time here I was extremely overworked, under compensated and flat out disrespected by management. I was an extremely hard worker and would always strive to complete every single outrageous task expected of me. For example, one of the offices I was working in at the time had lost their SS, I was the only office admin for about 4 months with occasional receptionists coming to help out. I worked countless doubles during this time and taught myself how to do tasks of an AA and an SS, just to keep the office afloat. my salary did not change. I was completely burned out and I was not the only one. A few months later they promoted me to an AA at a busier location but advised me that I would have to go through a period of probation before I could get my raise. As if I didn't prove myself enough to these people, like are you serious?! The GREED. I was honestly devastated when I learned what the raise of my new position was, a few dollars more for an overload of work....ridiculous! Management is extremely immature and simply cannot handle their region. Honestly, to me it never looked like they even worked! They would travel to different offices, gossip, reprimanded people via phone call or email, order lunch and go home. Every office in my region had so much drama and I would know because I worked in almost every single location in my region. You couldn't go to management with issues because they would never provide a solution or wouldn't respond to emails. Often they would give extremely nasty responses via email, were unprofessional and made situations worse! Admin employees are expected to do so much work for very little pay and it's unfair because many of us busted our behinds and it's like it went unnoticed. I've seen intelligent individuals come and quickly go because god forbid you make a mistake you are penalized for it. It was a mess! During the last few months of my time here they decided to centralize my position and advised me that I would have to travel about an hour and a half away from my home to work or else my position will be compromised and I would demoted. I couldn't believe it! I honestly worked so hard to prove myself to these people and I didn't want to be demoted so I agreed and literally commuted to another state and took on work for multiple locations. Draining isn't even the word. Lets also say that I was the test dummy for this position. They did not have a strategy for me, there was no structure to successfully succeed in my new role, it's not like I was formally trained anyway, I taught myself and was lucky to have a good relationship with people who could help me. They threw me there. Basically like just figure it out. I continued to work hard and tried the best that I could but it was extremely overwhelming. I was doing this and going to school, when I realized I was failing school that's when I knew I had to leave this place. I found out that my peer who worked the same position I did was earning a higher salary, not having a long commute and was doing less work. I realized my worth and the company didn't deserve my dedication anymore. I was sad to leave the amazing people I had met but it was simply not worth it. I was disrespected from the beginning to the very end. I could continue to go on but I've given this place enough of my time.
