To be honest, I enjoyed working for this company at the beginning even though the compensation is low because of the great benefits. However, over time, there has been an increase of work for the front desk staff as the office supervisor position has been discontinued, leaving the low-paid receptionists to pick up the slack instead of the Regional supervisors. Physical therapy aides are only able to work part-time because the company does not want to provide benefits for them. Many of the smaller offices do not have enough aides or do not schedule them enough, leaving the receptionists to work as aides as well. In fact, the company has decided to "cross-train" both PT aides and receptionists to be able to do each others jobs for NO additional pay. They have even updated the job descriptions to reflect the extra work that both aides and receptionists now have to do. I have never worked anywhere where your job responsibilities are changed without your consent and without renegotiating compensation. The starting pay for the receptionist position is low, but considering what other employers pay for the same position, it is fair. However, for the amount of work and responsibility that is expected, the pay is a joke. Raises are also a joke, 25 cents to be exact. Anyone looking for a decent job with room for growth and mobility, look elsewhere.
