Very clique-ish, if you’re not the type to kiss behind and completely become their space, you won’t last long here. Most of management brags about how long they’ve know one another and how they grew with the company. They tell you this during the interview and you’ll see it while working, but know the average employee has no chance of joining this circle. They gossip and talk horribly behind their employees backs. I’ve been there I’ve seen it, I’ve heard it. And don’t think it’s only at the location I worked, as I said and I heard plenty of times everyone knows everyone!
Terrible training, every clinic is short of staff and it shows. When it was time for me to train I was placed with a woman so stressed from the job that she cried almost every day, she wasn’t able to even train me. If you work front desk, know that the position they have you working is originally for 3 people and so depending on your location, you will be expected to work longer hours than originally presented and will have to take up some serious slack.
Low morals, if you actually care about patient care DO NOT work here. Sadly PT isn’t a profession that the average person knows much about. They don’t know the care they’re supposed receive, they don’t know their rights, the don’t know that they are NOT supposed to be treated by students 90% of the time. The reason for this, you’ll have a clinic with 8 tables but 20 patients schedule within 40 minutes and 1 or 2 Physical Therapists. Do the math, how much one on one time does the patient really get? They only care about numbers and will move heaven and hell to make those goals, even if it means treating someone who doesn’t have the coverage for the visits. These people then receive a bill for outstanding amounts, honestly it’s terrible.
Lastly, trust me there’s more but I have other things to do lol, but lastly take this job if you have nothing else. Take it with caution, they’ll hire you on to fit their needs for the time being but will always keep an eye on you to see if they can lay you off eventually. The company seems to be “trimming the fat”, meaning they’re laying people off left and right, so if you take this job keep a look out, 9/10 you’ll see signs if they plan to fire you...as I said everyone talks. I wasn’t fired because I knew when to leave.
