Pros

It was my first job out of college... I learned a lot, the good, the BAD, the REALLY BAD, and then the REALLY UGLY (practices) of the business. A holiday party at the end of the year that's nice, and some events for employees to get to know each other in a social gathering, but now that the company has become a 7/11 I doubt they're doing these events as often.

Cons

30 - 35 patients PER SHIFT, 2 shifts each day. 7-2 and 1-8, no lunch break allowed, stuff your mouth with a sandwich and get back on the floor!!! WE DEFINITELY BILLED THINGS WE DID NOT PERFORM, STOP DENYING THIS!!! IT's not legal and you guys will eventually get caught and sued (Again). ATC starting Salary 35K (with or without a master's degree) it's embarrassing, PT's starting salary 55K, also embarrassing and well below what it should be for the number of patients and the $$$$$$$$$ amount this company sucks out of everything and everyone. How does a company grow from a few locations to 63 in less than a decade??? BY "SQUEEZING juice out of a rock" (these are the words of one of the partners I'm quoting) I would NEVER work there again, ever...

Thank you for your review. We are happy to let you know that we are in fact still maintaining the many wonderful social events held by Professional! We have our amazing year end holiday party, our billiards event, bowling event, and a summer outing for employees and their families – and those are just the events for the entire company! There are many regional events held as well, keeping us as a family, not just a business. That culture stems from senior management all the way down through each and every clinic. That ”family” culture also extends to our patient care and customer service. With regard to the number of patients seen in a day, that truly varies by clinic and we staff accordingly based on patient need. When a patient shows up too early or too late, we do consider the patients first and try out best to accommodate them into a schedule. Many patients are post-surgery, in pain and have difficulty getting around. We understand that and whenever possible fit them into our already busy schedules. At Professional, the patient does come first. We staff each location based on the potential workload so whenever possible, we can accommodate such instances. Additionally, a 7 hour shift is the norm. If you look at any corporate 9-5 job, that is an 8 hour day with one hour break for lunch. We are simply allowing our staff to have that lunch break either before or after their shift. That is not to say that people don’t have a snack in between patients. Majority of our staff prefers this versus staying an extra hour just so they can have an official lunch break. Furthermore, it is against our policies to incorrectly bill for work completed. We have policies, procedures and audits in place, as well as a compliance hotline available 24 hours and 7 days a week, providing anyone with the opportunity to report any concerns and violations. And lastly, pay grades may start at a lower level, but ask anyone who has been with the company for awhile, in a very short time employees that put in the effort and quality care are recognized, quickly promoted, and that factor becomes non-existent. We provide an abundance of opportunities for development, growth, and training within the company and provide excellent benefits. I welcome you to visit our website careers page and see what other employees who have lived this opportunity are saying (http://www.professionalpt.com/ -our-employees-are-saying/) and our recent Great Place to Work Employee Survey results (http://www.professionalpt.com/great-places-work-survey-results/).

Pros

Great staff that truly cares about their patients. Excellent management that listens and cares about your wellbeing as an employee, and is willing to listen to constructive criticism towards daily processes.

Cons

High volume of patients, so lots of work needed (which isn't necessarily a con, but can be at times).

Pros

Professional Physical Therapy Is a great company to work for, on paper. Weekly education, good mentorship, great therapists that you can pick their brains on to ask for help, and people are always willing to help. Salary is average at best, but with incentives to get better, you get paid more, which in reality how it should be

Cons

Clinical Directors bonuses are based upon their quarterly quota they get to keep their office running. IE: If you have a greedy CD who wants to keep the quota money to themselves, youre office wont flourish, you get a CD that reinvests the quota into the office, the office will flourish. A staff PT can't review the CD; the CD gets reviewed by KPI numbers that you are apart of during review. Which is a little interested due to the staff should have a say in how the leadership is running
