Pros
The pay wasn’t that bad.
Cons
If you aren’t a white male that went to Brigham Young University, you will most likely feel out of place on the engineering side of the house. 90% of everyone I worked with were males that went to BYU. Diversity is severely lacking and it feels like they are having a hard time adjusting to hiring remote employees outside of Utah. They coach people to share personal details about their lives but it’s hard to believe it's not used against them. The way they measure performance is to survey people you work with and not your actual work and then use the excuse "you are not a good fit" to fire people. I suggest watching some documentaries to determine if Brigham Young's values align with you and/or your lifestyle before you make a career change and waste your time. I would also look into some of their doctrines and even ones they have renounced recently, probably because they were bad for business. However, people's beliefs don't change over night.
