Pros

- if you build a relationship with the school you are working in, they are so supportive and helpful.

Cons

- hours, said that people who were full time received health benefits but always kept staff just under those hours to ensure they did not get them. - staffing, there would be multiple weeks in which I would be unable to go to the bathroom or take breaks for almost 6 hours because I was by myself with other 20 students. - management, while being understaffed very rarely came to support and check in on the staff. Weekly meetings feel very isolating and condescending when our concerns are brought up. Lunch breaks- due to California law, we are required to take a 30 minute lunch break. But with no staff managers would tell us to take our lunch break during the first hour or so of our shift when we needed to be prepping. Some days we would have to lie about taking a lunch break because we didn't have time for one. Contention between sites- there are no boundaries for staff during their shifts and off the clock. I would get texts and calls after work and they never did anything about it.

Pros

* Opportunity to gain early childhood education experience.

Cons

* Poor hours with little flexibility. * Extremely high turnover due to inadequate training and lack of support. * Toxic, cliquey work environment. * Program managers and some shift leads were unsupportive and often made staff feel suffocated. * Educators received little meaningful support while being expected to manage chaotic programs. * Inconsistent quality of coworkers; some displayed unprofessional behavior around children. * Upper management was dishonest or unclear about payroll, expectations, and available support. * Low staff morale negatively affected parents’ perception of the company. * Frequent micromanagement instead of coaching or mentorship. * Communication from some managers was often condescending, aggressive, or focused only on mistakes. * Management rarely checked in to offer help, instead focusing on criticism. * Some leadership styles escalated children’s emotional situations rather than de-escalating them. * Certain managers appeared quick to assume children were acting maliciously instead of understanding the situation. * Overall culture left staff feeling undervalued, uncomfortable, and unsupported. * Lack of investment in employee development and long-term success. * Poor leadership contributed to burnout and made retention difficult. * There was an employee with a dangerous criminal record that went unnoticed by management for some time.
