Pros
There are some managers that have great business sense but have no idea how to manage people. They pick their favorites and that is who succeed, everyone else they talk about behind their backs. Shame on management for not following up with all parties to understand exactly what is going on face to face instead of their bogus yearly ethics training.
Cons
Management and business models are constantly changing. Rockwell does not hire personnel with management or leadership experience they only hire someone to fill a position. Rockwell is set up as a good ole boy system. There is very little diversity. If you are a intelligent, strong woman then you will not succeed in this company. They provide no training and expect people to go into positions and read one notes to learn. If they don't like you they will figure out a way to get rid of you. It is a very toxic environment for women. If the woman speaks up then she will be black listed but if a man says the same thing then they are commended. As a woman you can go to any other company and be respected for you knowledge and what you bring to the company. Also if you transfer positions within the company they will cheat you out of money by saying its an "internal transfer" therefore that saves Rockwell a lot of money vs what they would have to pay someone off the street. Grown men gossip about women behind their backs and I have personally heard it so it is a fact. Instead of talking about them behind their back a good "leader" would be guiding and teaching and promoting their employee to be the best they can be. Management may have a good business sense but they have no idea how to be a leader.
