Many of the people at Roma are terrific. There are some very talented and smart people working there. The product is good. Not great, but decent.
Cons
From the get-go I had reservations about working at Roma. During my interviews the CEO swore up and down that he was going to double and triple profits over the next 5 years. That seemed a tad unrealistic for picture frames, but I though "what the hell?", so I gave them a chance. Easily the biggest mistake of my career. Myself and my team all started at the same time, a clear sign that they have not so much a turnover issue, which would suggest that people leave for better opportunities, but that the CEO does not value or invest in his people. That only became clearer as time wore on. I ended up doing a lot of travel for the company in the year I was there, working in their showrooms around the US. I redesigned and set up the showrooms, working 12+ hours a day, hanging between 600 and 1,000 pictures and several hundred frame samples myself. Did I see any overtime pay for that? The thanks I got was a paltry 2 days in lieu, half my expenses disallowed and a "promotion" that saw essentially a name change only and removal of one week vacation time. At one point I had to use my own personal credit card to ship items from one of the showrooms, only to find that Tony then used the same card (on file) to ship again 6 months later (after I was fired). That was a nice $800 charge. While I was there, there was a pay freeze "in the back" (for, you know, the people who actually produce the product), while every member of "the family" showed up with brand new Mercedes or BMWs. The highly-respected CMO who was brought in to realign the product and marketing lasted less than 3 months, as she could see clear as day that the place is a farce. In my last week there I was asked to sign a fraudulent shipping document, mislabeling hazardous goods going into the US. I refused and 2 days later was terminated. I was so relieved. The other comments indicating that Tony views himself as the next Steve Jobs are spot on. And he could be, if you're only looking at the gargantuan ego and petulant temper tantrums. Where the comparison ends is that Tony hasn't produced anything of meaning, doesn't understand people or his market, and has no real, tangible, achievable vision whatsoever. The guy is beyond delusional and truly needs professional help. If you value yourself, your skills, your self-worth, do not work at Roma Moulding.
