Pros

Flexible-ish working if you’re remote

Cons

Years ago this company was amazing. Even for such a large company with strong revenue targets, it still managed to have a family feel with Thai at the helm. It truly, truly saddens me to see what has happened to SHI. They keep and promote people who are all words, no actions and show “management” by extreme micromanagement which causes genuine stress and constant fear of being fired to the people underneath them. They fire people who have been with them for decades with no warning, they try to make HR changes that are not legal in some countries they operate in, they belittle people in team calls. SHI used to be such a fun place to work, fast paced but enjoyable, with a shared mission. It could not be further from that now.

Pros

This may be a good place to start in order to gain experience in the industry at the entry level. Beyond that it should be a stepping stone.

Cons

The Glassdoor numbers say a lot. Only 50% of the people who work here would recommend to a friend or colleague. In school, 70% is 1% away from failure. SHI is 20% below failure. To add, 53% of the people who work here have a negative outlook on the company's future. That seems like a trend in the wrong direction. If your career is an investment in your life, that needs to be considered before investing a career into SHI.
