Pros

Easy to get hired, they hire anyone. You can make industry connections through partner network. Good job for setting the foundation of what you deserve from an employer - every job after this one will feel so much better because you’ve seen how bad a job can truly be.

Cons

-Thai Lee (CEO) would sacrifice you without a second thought. -You’ll be told to go against your own values. -Shi makes it like they buy lunches/provide happy hours, but it is really coming from the partners. -You’ll wake up every day wanting to give up. Micromanaging frat culture is toxic. -employees don’t receive raises. (AE base pay is 40k). Instead, they introduce things like quota increases/“revenue tax” to ensure you don’t grow your income -old systems and poorly executed CRM will make even the smallest task a burden -nobody in the real world knows what Shi is, and if they do, they hate it -you have to choose between mental health and having a slightly above-average income (if you are a top performer) -they don’t trust their employees -

Pros

This may be a good place to start in order to gain experience in the industry at the entry level. Beyond that it should be a stepping stone.

Cons

The Glassdoor numbers say a lot. Only 50% of the people who work here would recommend to a friend or colleague. In school, 70% is 1% away from failure. SHI is 20% below failure. To add, 53% of the people who work here have a negative outlook on the company's future. That seems like a trend in the wrong direction. If your career is an investment in your life, that needs to be considered before investing a career into SHI.
