A company that changed a lot while I was there - Sales SHI International Employee Review

Pros

A pretty flat management structure makes decisions quick, but almost all power is concentrated that way. Also it's a company of fierce loyalty to old timers who may not be the right people for the company today. It's run almost like two companies, one very typical for churn and burn smb sales, and one very traditional, for enterprise, value-add, long term, huge company clients.

Cons

If you got in back in the beginning, you might be golden, but getting in now you'll be a number. That's OK for some people, and it is still a good company that wants to do the right thing for its clients

Pros

This may be a good place to start in order to gain experience in the industry at the entry level. Beyond that it should be a stepping stone.

Cons

The Glassdoor numbers say a lot. Only 50% of the people who work here would recommend to a friend or colleague. In school, 70% is 1% away from failure. SHI is 20% below failure. To add, 53% of the people who work here have a negative outlook on the company's future. That seems like a trend in the wrong direction. If your career is an investment in your life, that needs to be considered before investing a career into SHI.
