The pros of working at SLAC during my time there (3 months) are as follows:
-my supervisor was always available and easy to talk to when I needed help
-coworkers would always lend a helping hand when I was stuck on a task and small talk never felt awkward
-workplace is amazing and filled with incredible engineers and physicists
-as an intern, we were given small tours of some of the facilities that SLAC offered to graduate students and scientists seeking research oppourtunities
-good pay for first ever full-time job
Cons
-Drive was terrible (I live 15 miles away and drove to work at 6 in the morning. 1 hour commute there, hour and a HALF back.)
-Work given was standard intern work and I had a desk job which was rather mundane

The opportunity to contribute to high-impact scientific research while collaborating with a dedicated, intelligent team was truly rewarding.
Cons
Workload consistently increased while resources simultaneously diminished, creating a lack of backup personnel for key roles, and significant operational silos between departments hindered cross-functional collaboration.
