Pros

There are some bright, clever and friendly coworkers in the trenches. Casual dress every day so it's ok to wear jeans.

Cons

Ever since the business was sold to Thoma Bravo, it been on a painfully obvious downward spiral. New management was brought in which seemed like a solid business decision, but the industry is in trouble if you can't move fast enough. SRS cannot keep up the pace. So since they can't increase the bottom line, the solution has been to keep laying people off. No one is immune and they handle the layoffs very poorly. Don't be fooled by the open job listings. Some very smart and very senior people have seen the writing on the wall and have run for the door.

Thank you for sharing your feelings, and I’m sorry to read that your experience at SRS was not a good one. Yes, there have been changes in the industry and in the company, and change is always hard. To that end, Thoma Bravo is well-versed at growing tech companies into industry leaders, and our new management team has been setting the stage for that growth. As you noted, we have a team of bright, friendly people here at SRS, and despite all the changes we remain focused on our clients’ successes. That is one of the key differentiators that will continue our success here at SRS. ~ Sincerely, Scott Ciccarelli, CEO

Pros

There is a lot of positive outlook for SRS. Things have really been changing for the better, and I think SRS has a bright future ahead. The people are great to work with and I have never asked someone for help and have been told "that's not my job". Every time I need help from one of my co-workers they are there to help or at the very least guide me in the right direction. The company is truly dedicated to ensuring it's employees are happy. People might feel different, but in my opinion it is a great work environment. I feel comfortable and relaxed while at work. Not to mention the relaxed dress code! Sure there is stress at times, but there's always going to be some stress at any job you go to. With the team you have here you can definitely succeed.

Cons

It is true, there are way too many meetings! The good news is, management has been working on reducing the amount of meetings. Also, only reason I am putting 4 stars for work/life balance is because the days can be long sometimes. I can attribute this to the amount of emails you can receive a day and going through them all.
