Pros

My teammates are some of the brightest, most talented people that I've ever worked with. Working in an environment that fosters personal and professional growth. Management genuinely cares about their employees, and it taking a lot of action to improve morale after a particularly bad year. Work from home days once per week. Recently shifted to an agile software development process, which has increased product quality and has empowered teams to make product decisions. All in all, it is a great place to be - and I am proud to be a member of the team. .

Cons

Different layers of management frequently have conflicting goals and are not on the same page. It is common to have more than one functional manager try to assert their individual agendas to their employees, which ultimately causes confusion and chaos among team members. People generally feel like they are wearing "too many hats" and can be overwhelmed by the amount of responsibilities an individual has to carry. There are still lingering staffing and morale issues, but they are slowly being resolved . Even after transitioning to agile, there are still some functional silos that exist which can create "Us vs. Them" mentalities. We have a meeting happy culture. Countless hours will be spent going over PowerPoint slides that could have easily been an email or an informal conversation. Sometimes, it is hard to get your regular work done. Quite a few people feel obligated to put in extra hours to compensate for lost time.

Thank you for sharing your candid feedback – and for sharing your SRS pride! Your passion for what we are accomplishing is evident in your review, as is your desire to keep things constantly improving. In terms of that improvement, I really value the insights you have provided here. We are trying to find more ways to streamline unnecessary tasks so that the vast majority of each of our days is spent doing truly meaningful work. As you allude to, it’s been a busy year, but there is always time for me to mingle. I’ll be sure to do it a bit more often. Having people like you on our team is one of our key differentiators. Again, thank you for this review. You made my day. Sincerely, Scott Ciccarelli, CEO

Pros

There is a lot of positive outlook for SRS. Things have really been changing for the better, and I think SRS has a bright future ahead. The people are great to work with and I have never asked someone for help and have been told "that's not my job". Every time I need help from one of my co-workers they are there to help or at the very least guide me in the right direction. The company is truly dedicated to ensuring it's employees are happy. People might feel different, but in my opinion it is a great work environment. I feel comfortable and relaxed while at work. Not to mention the relaxed dress code! Sure there is stress at times, but there's always going to be some stress at any job you go to. With the team you have here you can definitely succeed.

Cons

It is true, there are way too many meetings! The good news is, management has been working on reducing the amount of meetings. Also, only reason I am putting 4 stars for work/life balance is because the days can be long sometimes. I can attribute this to the amount of emails you can receive a day and going through them all.
