Pros

Health Insurance is cheap, but your restricted to SSM providers (Hospitals and Physicians)

Cons

I worked in the Finance Org under the St. Louis Network. SSM has a tough time competing in St. Louis.. They don't have the capital, outdated facilities, poor physicians, etc. Aside from HI, benefits are terrible. Vacation starts at 24 days (includes holidays). Many people were frequently stressed out and appeared overworked. My experience involved working for someone that was a SEVERE micro manager. Stay away from anything decision support related.

Pros

Family-like relationship with coworkers, clinic work is better than hospital

Cons

Management is disconnected from front line staff, and it seems like they are more concerned about money and numbers than patient safety and nurse safety
