Pros

Company vehicle, Health benefits, 401k, PTO, will work with a school schedule, We have a great system of installing as well as quality materials and high quality standards that truly do set us apart from the competition.

Cons

Raises are based on your overall numbers and customer satisfaction received from online surveys. you can be here for 5 years and never get a raise which is a complete joke. Dispatchers and managers do not care how late you work they want as much work done everyday as possible they leave on time either way, Hard to plan for anything outside of work during the week because you never know what your next day of work entails, High Turnover rate which leads to all of the veteran techs getting all of the difficult jobs day in and day out because of all the new guys just starting out, dispatching is a constant mess, and working in the rain and snow is just not a good time. Overtime if needed is forced upon. not very much room for advancement if any, especially in the smaller locations. Every other Saturday is mandatory but only for the techs no management or higher ups.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We're glad to hear you recognize some value around some of Safelite's benefits, flexibility with schedules, our installation process, and the emphasis we put on quality. In the past year, Safelite rolled out a new compensation model for techncians which allows them to view - via a smartphone app - how they can leverage opportunities to earn extra money through meeting new quality and service goals. The previous approach had more of a focus on productivity. The feedback to the new model has been quite favorable. We appreciate your concerns around work/life balance and how weather impacts our technicians. We work hard to take care of these everyday heroes. We also ensure we are setting the right expectations on what's it's like to be a technician during the hiring process. We encourage you to share your concerns/ideas with your leaders, or talk to your People Business Partner or the People Direct Help Line.

Pros

Working hours, easy to learn, great environment.

Cons

The 1 minute late, rule. If you’re ONE minute late from break, lunch, or even clocking in.. it counts toward your “infractions”. You can only get 3 for the first 60 days. Even if your wifi goes out, you get sick.. anything. It counts.

Pros

The fact that they will teach you and train you to install Auto Glass? Cannot answer this truthfully

Cons

I've applied twice to the tech training position. The first time I thought that I may have made an error? The Yellow Brick Rd location had adds for 18 positions available. I applied again fixing what I thought the issue to be. I was again sent an email that they were not moving to the next step with me. This makes ZERO sense. I was just recently a slot tech out of Horseshoe. I also was a tech for a company that handed a few interior pieces for Amtrak.
