Pros

Benefits are decent. Pto, paid holidays, 401k match, health insurance. Job is easy. No one really ever tells you what to do if you’re doing what you’re supposed to.

Cons

Pay is not good. Work load is always a notch past barely doable. Majority share of techs don’t follow “the Safelite way” you were trained to do in order to finish workload. Long time techs have tools new techs don’t have and aren’t allowed to have. Management turns a blind eye because productivity goes up. You’re also now a face to face salesman, selling over priced wipers that no one wants. 10% of your hourly pay is directly related to selling a product at a premium price that no one wants.

The fact that they will teach you and train you to install Auto Glass? Cannot answer this truthfully

Cons

I've applied twice to the tech training position. The first time I thought that I may have made an error? The Yellow Brick Rd location had adds for 18 positions available. I applied again fixing what I thought the issue to be. I was again sent an email that they were not moving to the next step with me. This makes ZERO sense. I was just recently a slot tech out of Horseshoe. I also was a tech for a company that handed a few interior pieces for Amtrak.
