Pros

Weekly pay, okay benefits, learn a trade, and sometimes you get to work on some pretty cool cars.

Cons

I'm usually the last person to write a review, let alone a bad one but this time I just can't help myself. Safelite is a business that is setup to make their 2.3 B(and counting) in revenue at any cost. I do applaud the higher ups, for they are fantastic at manipulating insurance companies, customers, and their "beloved" employees. I once saw an employee asked to move cities to advance from a tech to a manager in which he took. The dude got an apartment, got all of his things packed and ready to go, but the day before he was moving corporate had the manager tell him that they didn't need him in that city anymore and the deal was off. Another employee moved for a 2$ pay raise and 8 months later they cut his pay by almost 8$(some pretty shady moves if you ask me). Their survey system is stacked against you and is a scam. They want you to have some bad ones so they can use it against you and keep your pay low(more money towards that 2.3b baby). And then all the good reviews are sent to insurance companies to secure all of their customers to Safelite at insane marked up prices. So that DW1217(btw corporate if you are reading this, that is 1990s Chevy Silverado windshield) you just installed and charged 500$ for only cost Safelite 50-80$. And sadly it's the same story for wipers and recalibrations as well(you smell that? That 2.3b just turned into 2.6b 🤣). They pushed and pushed for 6 days finally got it, what they do next? They ask for 7 days, can't get that yet so they ask 12 hour days instead of 8. What's next? Do they wanna be open 24/7 365? It's a shame, used to be a fun 8-5 job and all the things they promised you when you first walked into the door. Started out with a group that had over 50 years of auto glass experience combined and finished with a group that had less than 2 years, manager included. Oh well, that's just my experience at Safelite. Hopefully it was a better for others.

Pros

The fact that they will teach you and train you to install Auto Glass? Cannot answer this truthfully

Cons

I've applied twice to the tech training position. The first time I thought that I may have made an error? The Yellow Brick Rd location had adds for 18 positions available. I applied again fixing what I thought the issue to be. I was again sent an email that they were not moving to the next step with me. This makes ZERO sense. I was just recently a slot tech out of Horseshoe. I also was a tech for a company that handed a few interior pieces for Amtrak.
