Pros

Upper management doesn't pretend to care.

Cons

This is the worst place i've ever worked. There is absolutely no structure in the operations of the company. Area level managers seemingly have no idea what is happening or how to do their jobs while demanding unrealistic expectations from employees. Absolutely zero training was given and was brushed off to other people when asking for support. Constant fear of closing within the upper management team seems to be their only motivation and directs all their actions. Mid and entry level employees' well being are not considered at all.

Dear Former Sage Associate, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We recognize that your experience did not reflect the kind of environment we aim to create. Providing clear direction, strong support, and a structured onboarding experience is important to how our teams operate, and feedback like yours highlights where that experience may not have come through as intended. We also take seriously the impact that day-to-day leadership and communication can have on our associates. Creating a workplace where people feel supported, prepared, and able to succeed is a priority for us. If you are open to continuing the conversation, we encourage you to reach out to us at myvoice@sagehospitalitygroup.com so we can better understand your perspective. Pros

Great people, strong culture, and exposure to a wide variety of hotels, restaurants, and ownership groups. I had the opportunity to work with talented colleagues who genuinely cared about one another and the success of the company. There are opportunities to take on meaningful responsibility, and if you’re willing to work hard, you’ll gain tremendous experience.

Cons

As the company has grown, some departments have become stretched thin, and processes have not always evolved at the same pace. Teams can spend significant time reacting to day-to-day priorities, leaving less time for process improvement, automation, and strategic initiatives. Workloads can be demanding, particularly during peak periods.
