Pros

As a former educator and coach, I am beyond thrilled to be on staff at Scoot Education as an Education Consultant. Scoot values student experiences beyond all else and their mission to put the right teacher in the right classroom at the right time is one that I and so many other educators align with. Every day I am so excited to connect and build authentic relationships with stellar educators and school partners who genuinely want to enhance and make a positive impact on student learning in the Houston community!!

Cons

I haven't found a con yet!

Pros

Incredible onboarding and hands on training, even in a hybrid role. Getting to meet the CEO and executive team right away makes the work feel personal and truly valued. Also there is clear communication from leadership and a team that truly cares about your success.

Cons

Like with any job, priorities shift quickly, but leadership is always very supportive and understanding.

Pros

- Had fantastic teammates across the board on the Education Consultant team. They do a good job of hiring kind and hard-working people. - For the most part, they do a good job of respecting an 8-hour workday - Hybrid Schedule (2 days remote per week)

Cons

- Poor leadership: No transparency, a cult-like culture with lots of fake positivity. - You are doing essentially 5 or 6 different jobs in one (Customer Success / Account Management, Recruiting + Onboarding, Customer Service / Phone Support, Morning and Evening Dispatching, Managing Subs directly, including having negative feedback conversations, Payroll / Timesheet / Compliance management). - Siloed teams: if you're stuck with a bad / incompetent manager, you're on your own. - Micromanaging: There is almost no time in the day that isn't accounted for by management. As I left the company, they were beginning to monitor employees on a level that felt ridiculous and infantilizing
