Pros

They try to do fun things for staff, like free drinks daily, lunches, competitions with prizes, etc. The job is not physically hard.

Cons

Felt like I had zero life with the hours. Working anything from 9am to 9pm every day. No paid holidays. No benefits. You can’t ask for a raise or you’ll be fired. The CEO is the most obnoxious, egocentric person I’ve met. He genuinely doesn’t care about 95% of the staff and isn’t afraid to show it.

Pros

The pros of working here - they are willing to train the inexperienced.

Cons

The turnover here is absolutely abhorrent. Within my first month here more than 5 people were fired or quit. After month 3 it was more than 15. They fire you with absolutely no prior warnings/disciplinary action. They’ll also keep an eye on if you’re applying to other jobs through Indeed. Apparently, they only want you to leave the company if they fire you. They use employment agencies so they don’t have to pay workers from their own payroll and then once you’re off your 90 day probation period and your paychecks start coming out of their payroll, they fire you. I think while I was there the longest anyone had worked there was 3 years, but almost everyone had been there under a year and realistically by the end of the year I can’t imagine any of them will still be employed there. If you want a company you can actually grow with- stay FAR away from Silk.
