Pros

Surrounded by some amazingly nice, talented and smart people. Great place to learn and improve on skills that you didn't already have, especially with the release of Snyk Cloud. Pay is also super good.

Cons

A good amount of employees came in from connections/referrals. Really makes you wonder what talent is being passed on because X's sibling works at the company. Management needs some improvement. Some managers are great while others should just not be managers. They don't know how to listen to their employees and actually improve on processes. Instead, they'll talk around topics/issues without ever actually addressing anything. Snyk also needs to make some serious improvements on some of their products and listen to the common issues that customers are having. I have heard the same complaints over and over again from different customers on features that should have been implemented from the get-go. Diversity is alright in the company, but it could definitely be improved upon exponentially within Sales. It's also basically an expectation that you need to go above and beyond and overwork yourself at this company, although it's never explicitly stated. Time being blocked off on your calendar is not respected and some people will still message you after you sign off of Slack and have notifications snoozed.

Pros

The pay, the people, the benefits

Cons

They're a non-public, start-up company, they had layoffs which is always scary.

Pros

Fully remote, flexible, and monthly stipends. Good pay.

Cons

Shady leadership. Tendency to hire employees for a specific reason only to dissolve their position once whatever project they forecasted for the employee is complete. I’ve seen it happen to multiple employees during my employment until it finally happened to me after a few years. Was advised by a former employee in leadership that I would more than likely be overloaded with work and worked out the door in some way because that was their trend. I didn’t believe it but it started happening to many people around me. I don’t trust these people and managers are very loose lipped, move sloppily, and doesn’t know how to not let secrets slip out. I knew my position was being dissolved from meetings I saw on my managers calendar. Luckily I started applying for jobs because I saw the writing on the walls. I had something else lined up but was still a bit blindsided because I was clearly communicating need for help to my leadership. Multiple interviews asking how I was doing and what I needed help with only for 3 days later to be told my position was no longer needed.
