Pros

Incredibly talented, friendly and collaborative people Interesting technical challenges to overcome

Cons

Snyk claims it has a great culture that 'Cares Deeply' for its staff's well-being and fosters a supportive 'One Team' culture, but in reality, it's all lip service. As others have said, too many years of tactical choices to chase the money rather than develop a coherent strategy are taking their toll, and it's the people who work there that are paying the price. The processes in place hinder your work rather than help you to do your job, and with every new announcement comes another collective sigh. It's a shame, the amazing people who work here are hamstrung by a chaotic and directionless senior leadership team who promise a lot but never deliver.

Thank you for sharing your experience working at Snyk and highlighting the talented team members you worked with. We agree that our Snykers are collaborative and friendly, which makes it exciting to cross functionally. As Snyk is still early in our journey, we are on a path to efficient growth. We recognize that not all legacy processes are going to enable us in that growth, and we are constantly evaluating our business in order to ensure we do right by our customers and our employees. Thank you for the feedback and showing us that there is more we can do for our Snykers. - Erin Casey, Manager, Talent Attraction Programs

Pros

The pay, the people, the benefits

Cons

They're a non-public, start-up company, they had layoffs which is always scary.

Pros

Product is simple to learn Most of the people are wonderful

Cons

No career opportunities - whatever position/salary you get hired at is the end of your journey. I am pretty sure I saw less than 4 TSMs get promoted in my entire time there. Beyond toxic internal systems - Sales teams completely control your life/career, whatever you are imagining isn't half of how bad it gets. No vision at all - I had 4 different direct managers, 3 different directors and all but a handful of C-suites ran for the hills. Clearly no one knows what to do with the company. Product - Its honestly a wonderfully polished turd. Snyk looks really good at first, then you realize it barely does SCA/SAST, DAST is good but thats only because they acquired it. Their AI tooling... half baked would imply someone at least thought about putting it in the oven. Layoffs - Didn't impact me, but clearly investors want their money and only hope is to gut the company.
