Pros
When I first started at Splunk I was excited and loved telling people where I worked and what I worked on as Splunk was well known in the industry.
Cons
The culture is a lot different since the Cisco integration and whoever looks at these reviews should look at the timing of when the integration completed. With the Cisco acquisition I saw things hidden or swept under the rug quickly before Cisco could find out, including multiple ethics investigations into management practices. There was even a deep dive into cultural issues run by the women's ERG at Splunk that after completion, nothing was ever done or followed up on. There were absolutely horrendous things that were discovered and seeing nothing done was disheartening. If you asked me a year ago, I would have told you to work here in a heartbeat as I really loved the people I worked with and what I worked on. There's been an exodus of people leaving and silent layoffs before large vests since then and I can no longer advocate for this being a good place to work.
