Pros
Easy to get hired because stop and shop does not discriminate or screen anyone. Meeting interesting people of all backgrounds, veterans, school teachers, reformed criminals, drug dealers/abusers, college students, ex-gangbangers, sex offenders, special needs co workers, potential business owners, future bosses, future MMA fighters. Increased tolerance to uncomfortable situations, learning how to "small talk". Small chance of growth in company by joining amt program to become a full time employee or a manager but you must attend meetings held by higher ups and listen to pure nonsense that spews out of their mouths once in a while. Small chance that a "cool" or laid back manager would be rotated into the store for a year or two.
Cons
Like in all retail jobs the cons are dealing with incompetent managers, unintelligent, frustrating, and sometimes crazy customers, and co-workers that would annoy or try to get you terminated or boss you around. Eventual deterioration of humanity or empathy / sympathy. Rare chance that a special needs co worker will stalk, attack, or verbally attack you for no reason.
