Pros

Ability to roll-over vacation from previous years

Cons

The corporate office and pharmacy location (Wood Ridge, IL) culture is horrific, demoralizing, and tolerates a frat house culture. I would not recommend working for Symbria to my worst enemy! Corporate office - Good western suburbs location, however, poor team building, revolving-door, out of touch leadership, and cut-throat environment. Pharmacy Office - Senior leadership, should not be allowed to manage a pig's sty, promotes a cut-throat environment, extraordinarily unprofessional and prejudice. It's a revolving-door, and people who survive in the environment heavily contribute to leadership behavior.

I’m sorry to see you have a negative opinion of your time with us. We strive to create a positive environment for all employees, and are disappointed when we hear that’s not been a past employee’s experience. We do regularly survey our employees and implement] operational action plans to address concerns. The summary feedback recently received is vastly different than what you describe, with an overall satisfaction rating over 73% for both pharmacy and corporate employees, and over 73% saying they are proud to be a member of the Symbria team. We also measure our turnover on a regular basis, and it is aligned with the health care industry average and has held steady for the last 2 years. I welcome the opportunity to discuss your experience and learn from it. Please reach out to me via our company website’s contact page if you are willing to talk. -Posted on behalf of Jay Mandra, VP Pharmacy Operations

Pros

Pros? You get a paycheck.

Cons

Micromanaging from higher ups. Unrealistic expectations for productivity given the staffing, support, and patient skill level. Significant pressure on staff to clock out while working to save productivity. Treatment time to the bare minimum so patients who need more therapy don’t get more. Spreads staff as thin as possible then complains when they can’t meet expectations. And somehow convinced employees to lie on Glassdoor to write 5 star reviews to get their ratings up because I’ve never met a single employee for this company who even thinks this company is mildly good let alone worthy of five stars. Every five star review since January is suspicious to me.
