Pros

Location: Lisbon and Portugal are absolutely, breathtakingly stunning. As for work, it entirely depends on what project you're working for.

Cons

Just one word of warning for those choosing to be housed in Teleperformance apartments, as absolutely no one will tell you this: You apartment will not be contractually guaranteed. When you sign the contract, your monthly wages will be listed at the reduced rate, but at no point will it say that your rent is part of your monthly compensation. The rent agreement will not mention this either. What this means is this: - Should Teleperformance want to fire you, they will have to respect workers' rights regulations, e.g. give you notice of 30 days etc. This does NOT apply to your apartment. They can kick you out with just 3 days' notice, without warning, and without compensation if they so choose, as it is not explicitly mentioned in your work contract. They will not tell you this, not even when you sign the contract. They leave you to figure this out on your own. -If you ever want to move out and live on your own, you're not legally speaking entitled to the higher wage. To be fair, I've never heard of any problems here and they usually adjust pay without problems. Just be warned that this is not a contractually guaranteed right. It's simply a promise on Teleperformance's part. -They can move you to a different apartment at any time and for any reason. -There's a reward of 150 Euros for ratting out housemates who broke the rules. You had guests after 10pm? Better hope none of your up to 7 housemates needs 150 quid.

Pros

For the most part, I have an open availability. I do however, like not having to work on Sundays. Some campains allow for a 1 hour lunch break. The hiring process was fairly easy. Your equipment is provided. There is opportunity for advancement. They are helpful when it comes to license renewal. Calls are back to back which for me seems to make time go faster. Flexibly as to when you want to take your lunch break. You have to opportunity to assist people without having to feel it was rushed. Off all major holidays.

Cons

Rushed training that may leave some questions unanswered. I feel like I had to figure things out on my own. Getting the assistance you need to help a client took longer than it should, especially when the client is on on hold, waiting for your response. At times some trainers seem to be unprepared for the roll they have taken. Calls are frequently monitored. Not much time between calls. It can take too long to transition from on campain to the next after the project has ended.
