Pros
FCR really makes an effort to provide an equitable workplace that's open to anyone with skills for the job. My rural site was very diverse and inclusive for the area. They've been offering permanently remote positions since the pandemic began, which can also help staff manage a better work/life balance. Great insurance benefits for this type of work. There is room for professional advancement, but mostly within the constraints of call center structure. If you can find something at the main offices, that's much more stable and promising for career building.
Cons
Pay is around minimum wage with no/few raises. Providing good call center metrics for clients means everything so the work is extremely fast paced. Supervisors can be very demanding, without having time to provide support or training. Taking PTO is difficult even if you plan far ahead, and is never guaranteed. Expect to be scheduled for every holiday, and then wait and see if you can take it off last minute, or maybe be sent home early if tickets are slow.
