Hostile and low pay - Anonymous employee Takeoff Technologies Employee Review

Pros

Invests in its employees (remote work reimbursement, 2-week company-wide GCP training, free lunches). Could be explosive in the grocery automation industry

Cons

Does not invest in its employees in terms of pay. Tech stack is not transferrable. The new head of engineering is subtly creating a hostile work environment. Promotes itself to be a "remote first" company but enforces in office 3 days a week.

Thank you for your feedback. We also believe that we have a great product that will revolutionize the grocery industry. We appreciate your feedback on compensation. We work diligently to ensure we are paying market competitive rates. We gather market data regularly to ensure our compensation practices are competitive. We are actively migrating our tech stack to Golang, Python and GCP, all highly transferrable languages. As you mentioned, the organization invested in a two-week training program to provide the valuable foundation for our GCP migration. Our work environment has certainly been fluid during this period of the pandemic. We have proven that we can work in a remote capacity, however, to continue to accelerate innovation it will be important to be together in the office in a hybrid fashion when the time is right. We believe re-establishing connections in the office will help maintain and reinforce our collaborative culture.
