Pros
- Everyone I've met at Tax Air from managers, office employees, dispatchers to dock employees have been extremely friendly, helpful and have shown incredible amounts of understanding and appreciation. Recognizing we're humans, simple little comments like "hey, good job today" or "hey it's alright, stuff happens" when you mess up every now and then really go a long way to making it an enjoyable place to work.
- Hours have been stable, making it easy to maintain a life with family and hobbies outside of work
- Mentally, the job is simple enough that it's really low stress, while not being so brainless that it ever gets boring or tedious.
- Physically, the routes I've been on have been really low impact, easy on the body and strike a good balance between comfort and effort.
- Pay and benefits are good
- Trucks are much nicer / newer than I'm used to
Cons
I was truthfully very hesitant and nervous to start working here, having read a good amount of negative reviews online and hearing some gossip around town... but im just not seein' it. I understand I havent really paid my dues or been through the up and down growing pains you could expect from a company adapting over decades and I havent earned the right to speak on certain struggles or complaints people have had... but as it stands, coming up on 6 months of employment, it's been a really great place to work.
