Pros

Working from home. Unlimited PTO that now you're unable to use.

Cons

Everything else. We were told today that there will be no increase in our base pay... starting salary is $40k as a sales rep, and it has been for a minimum of 4 years. You can get promoted and get up to $45k... inflation is crazy, everything is going up. The company is making more money, but the reps are not. We were essentially told 'we pay for performance, if you want more money, work harder - if that doesn't work for you, we can find you another position at the company that isn't sales.' Then turned around to tell us that they value and appreciate us... Hiring far more sales reps, and raising pricing, plus inflation, even the companies top sales reps aren't anywhere near the top right now - they're struggling. People are pulling from their savings to pay bills, and to make it through. We are unheard, and the higher ups do not care.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. I am sorry to hear that this has been your experience. Being a quota-bearing rep at a company that offers unlimited PTO can be a catch-22, which is why we encourage our US quota-bearing employees to take advantage of our unique PTO quota relief program whereby they can elect a month in which to reduce their quota by 50% and then kick back and get some much needed R&R. This summer, we are also offering early departures on Fridays for members of the team who are pacing to their monthly target. We value our employees and the contributions they make each and every day, and have maintained or grown headcount during a time in which many other companies have elected to downsize. We continue to be transparent in our compensation philosophy and prioritize Talent Mobility in our ongoing People Strategy by actively building programs to enhance various opportunities for our global workforce. As you mentioned, we do believe in a pay for performance culture where pay is highly correlated to performance and we pay generously for meeting and/or exceeding targets. That said, we regularly evaluate total compensation levels against the market to ensure we remain competitive. For the 2023 plan year, we made modifications to incent overperformance, leaning into our pay for performance culture, where pay is highly correlated to performance and we pay generously for meeting and/or exceeding targets. A challenging economy made it more difficult for our team to overachieve, so we have responded by increasing pay tiers for performance below target (while leaving the generous overperformance tiers in place) to ensure that our employees are rewarded for their hard work. Additionally, quota-bearing employees have an ability, unlike any other employees at TKWW, to be promoted intra-year and off-cycle, to expedite merit increases for our top performers. The TKWW leadership team and I take great pride in our culture and living into the core values of loving our users and doing the right thing. If you or any other employees have specific feedback, I encourage you to please reach out directly to me or to your People Business Partner to share it so that we can take swift action to address your concerns. Again, I appreciate your taking the time to leave this review, and value your input about how to make TKWW an even more positive working environment. - Aryanne Ferranti, Executive Vice President North America Local Marketplace

Pros

I have worked for this company for a decade now, and I fall more in love with it every year. The company rewards hard work, innovation, and impact. I have been incredibly lucky to have fantastic leadership during my entire tenure—leaders who push me to be better, do better, and learn more. Open and honest communication is both encouraged and reciprocated. If you truly push yourself and do your best, you will thrive here and be compensated for it. I am really encouraged by our current leadership and the direction the company is heading. I truly feel as if we are on the forefront of all things wedding planning. At TKWW, employees, couples, and vendors are heard, and what is said is put into action. That is incredibly impressive to me, as I've not seen that play out at other companies. I have loved the opportunity to work here and find that it's a fantastic place to continually advance my career, skillset, and personal growth.

Cons

As with any tech company, things move fast. That can be a con for some people, but I find that it is a great motivator for impact. If you do not like a company that moves fast, you might not be interested in working here.

Pros

I’ve been at The Knot Worldwide for a few years now and have seen a lot of evolution in the business. What stands out most recently is the momentum we’re building. The product updates for our vendors have been a big step in the right direction. It feels like we’re getting closer to delivering what both vendors and couples actually need, which makes it a much easier and more meaningful story to sell. It’s also just a great industry to be in. You’re working with people during one of the most important moments in their lives, which adds a different level of purpose to the day to day. Cross-functional collaboration is a real strength here. Sales, Product, Marketing, and Vendor Marketing, etc are working more closely than I’ve seen in the past, and it’s making a difference in how quickly we can move and improve. The sales team’s work ethic is through the roof. There’s a strong culture of accountability and ownership, and people show up every day ready to perform and support each other. Leadership has taken a noticeable step forward. Since Raina stepped in, there’s been a shift toward asking tougher questions and being more honest about what needs to change. That transparency and willingness to evolve has been important. There’s still a lot of runway ahead. With the right focus, the opportunity here is big.

Cons

Like any evolving company, there are still areas being worked through, but directionally it feels like we’re heading the right way
