When I first started under TK , I sang the highest praises. It seemed like a company that cared about not only it's customers, but it's employees as well. Tim Chi was honestly a wonderful CEO. I was sad to hear when Tim decided to step down, and truly believe Raina Moskowitz is prepared to run the organization into the ground, and pulling any sister sites down with it. Sites like The Bump, The Bash, and Hitched are not even an after thought to this organization. So many people have stayed with these smaller sites because of their teams, and are now being ripped apart, for the benefit of TK only.
But it's not like anyone can share this feedback safely with leadership. They don't listen to employees, the VOE is just there to say they've asked for the people's feedback. Don't get it twisted, they literally could not care more about anyone, but especially in a customer facing roles that burn out easily.
Overall, leaving this company made me realize how outdated, out of touch and slimy this organization is. The pay is laughable, but in their minds, they can always find someone who will work for cheaper!! Know your worth and know they won't compensate you for it lol, just burn you out.
Word to any potential new hires and people still working here, this organization is a sinking ship, and it's holes are being held together with duct tape. It may be floating just above water for now, but pretty soon the tape is gonna disintegrate and take down everyone still on the ship. Don't let yourself get caught on the sinking ship. Leadership will be sure to jump off into the life rafts but there's no room for the rest of y'all.
