Pros

Amazing people - life long friends have been met here, and I haven't scratched the surface of meeting all the amazing people employed here Collaboration - Operations working more closely with field team / product / go-to-market Lots of change in a short period of time - ripping off the bandaid hurts, but the most efficient way to move fast in an evolving automotive industry. Career Development - L&D opportunities along with professional career coaching through a preferred vendor Paid for internet/phone, amazing health benefits, amazing PTO work life balance policy, compensation is top notch

Cons

The necessary evil to more collaboration is more meetings A multitude of platforms/applications that people work out of do not cross over to other platforms/applications that other departments work out of. Overcomplicated tech stack for our overcomplicated (historic) billing models, but now we are simplifying, so the future looks bright!

Pros

Great Benefits & Remote Work

Cons

No matter how hard you work, there’s no recognition or pay increase. I wouldn’t recommend using the open-door policy if you have concerns about a manager. I raised an ongoing issue and ended up being written up based on claims that I wasn’t completing my work, even though I was following instructions. When layoffs happened, I was unfortunately among the first to be let go. It felt like a real slap in the face after all the time and commitment I gave to the company.

We appreciate your feedback and thank you for the contributions you made during your time with the company. We’re pleased to hear that you valued our benefits package and remote work flexibility, both of which remain important components of our employee experience. We take feedback regarding recognition and our open-door policy seriously. TrueCar is committed to maintaining a workplace where employees can safely raise concerns and where all issues are reviewed fairly and objectively. While organizational changes and employment decisions are driven by broader business considerations, we understand that these transitions are difficult. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
