Cons

The 'relationship sales' environment has taken over seemingly every call center position within USAA. As a Member Relationship Specialist II, I was providing technical support for members who were experiencing problems on their computers while using our website or mobile apps. To expect someone in my position to try to sell someone on the idea of, say, life insurance is pretty ridiculous. Members did not respond well, and the Website Support department has been outsourced since.

Pros

Life work balance, great benefit package and nice colleagues. The goal of the company is providing the best service to its members. So, they treat employees the best to encourage them to do the same for members.

Cons

Slow IT support, limited interactions with industry. Banking business is not as mature as insurance.
