Pros

Well one of the best things about USAA are the people who work their. I met some of my best friends their and so thankful for the experience they gave me. They have decent benefits and a gym.

Cons

The biggest challenge is that USAA leadership does not listen to their employees. They are currently understaffed and putting a lot of pressure on their property adjusters to succeed by returning all voicemails in 24 hours, respond to all ccom messages in 24 hours, call out on new losses in 24 hours, take back to back calls all day long, Monday-Friday with no hope in sight, then wrote complex property estimates while answering upset members calls, then you have at least 100 tasks to take care of everyday. Imagine this is your life and you have management breathing down your neck watching, monitoring you every second of the day. You get zero support from management as management only worries about their self. You can voice your concerns but nobody truly cares. It’s what they call a total dumpster fire. USAA has officially stopped caring for their employees. I highly encourage you to try a smaller company before taking this standard corporate America job.

Life work balance, great benefit package and nice colleagues. The goal of the company is providing the best service to its members. So, they treat employees the best to encourage them to do the same for members.

Cons

Slow IT support, limited interactions with industry. Banking business is not as mature as insurance.
