Pros

They have turned the injury department into a full blown call center. You do not have any file ownership, although files are assigned directly in your name for evaluation. You can’t get calls out to work files and inbound calls are back to back. Inexperienced newly promoted adjusters make numerous mistakes in your files due to lack of training. You are expected to work overtime just to try to stay current on “ your” files. USAA is no longer the premier place to work as an adjuster. Burn out has become the norm and executive management is just not listening to the front line teams.

Cons

Executive management is incompetent, uncaring and self serving. You are a number- not a person.

Life work balance, great benefit package and nice colleagues. The goal of the company is providing the best service to its members. So, they treat employees the best to encourage them to do the same for members.

Cons

Slow IT support, limited interactions with industry. Banking business is not as mature as insurance.
