Pros
- The people I work with (colleagues) - The mission of the company (taking care of military and their family)
Cons
- Split personality - wants to be a small company while competing with big competition. This split causes friction and overall disfunction for our people, process, and technology choices. - Toxic culture of fear and contradiction. My colleagues and I consistently talk about the company we used to work for. Many of us seek therapy/help for how work makes us feel about ourselves (sad, angry). - Benefits continue to be cut while company pays for lavish events and new real estate. - Strong mission becomes an excuse for undervaluing employees. - Senior leaders not in tune with employee needs or requests. - Passive aggressive employee communications - claim employees are heard with little action to change. - Minimal investment in professional development and career progression. - CEO is narcissistic. Sets the tone at the top.
